Review 2025 @ the folly Peterborough Cambs

This year so far has been challenging with no bank or tree work for a few years the removal of brambles and trees was completed over a 4 week period in February 2025. Not a moment too soon as we had 21 stock fish delivered in March 2025.
I have managed these waters for 38 years and the original stock being Old English Carp Black and Big Growth. This has always been my project, and with more stock fish on the way, the integration with the original stock will balance the fishery for years to come.
The fishing was steady with the largest carp in March 2025 being 48lb. After that the weather warmed up and the fish came alive and catches came good to those who stuck it out.
With new folks on the lake it was always a good test and some made it, and are very happy with the time they have put in.
I even caught my first ever catfish at 45lb I can tell you I was over the moon with that.
